FigJam Collections' Jacob Davidson joined ABC’s NT Country Hour to share the latest chapter in the Kulbanyi Tea journey at Seven Emu Station.
Speaking from his recent visit to the station, Jacob discussed preparations for this year’s harvest, the potential to expand Kulbanyi Tea production, and plans for a new on Country processing facility.
The facility will allow more of the journey from harvest through to processing and packaging to take place at Seven Emu Station. Importantly, it will also help reduce the challenges of producing tea in such a remote location, while keeping more economic activity close to Country.
Jacob also spoke about FigJam’s work testing Kulbanyi Tea in Japan as the team continues to explore opportunities for the tea across Australian and international markets.
